James Patrick Waters was born June 13, 1959 in Warwick, Georgia, the fourth of eleven children. He served in the military for six years, where he spent three years in Germany. James was saved in 1980. After coming back to the United States, he joined Timothy Pure Holiness Church of God where he served under the late Judson Ringer.

 

In 1982, he met his wife to be, Jennifer Waters. They were married in 1983. They have four lovely children, three girls and one boy. They also have four grandchildren, three boys and one girl.

Bishop James Waters served faithfully as Pastor of Smith Temple Pure Holiness Church of God in Hiram, Georgia for over twenty years. He now serves as Pastor of St. John Pure Holiness Church of God in Carrollton, Georgia.
